About Me
Hello! My name is Katie Steen and I am a teacher, trainer, and coach living in Barcelona, Spain. I started my career in education over 10 years ago as a middle and high school English teacher in Florida with a passion for iPads, socratic circles, and book talks.
While not exactly a "techie" teacher, I knew there was something special about how the strategies and the technology worked together in my classroom and I have spent the last 10 years helping other teachers like me find the magic.
I am a Google Certified Trainer and hold a M.Ed in Educational Technology and Curriculum. I have worked with international school teachers across Asia and Europe based in schools and as an outside trainer.
I am not your "typical" tech coach. I am not building robots in my spare time or working as a beta tester for new apps. I am a teacher, just like you, and my focus is on teaching and learning first, tech last. The technology I adopt has to make a major difference in my classroom.
I love a skeptic and my passion is helping teachers and schools at the beginning of their edtech journey make it awesome.
